Zone Manager

Salary: Circa £24k per annum
The Job
Overview of the role:
Primestaff are working with our well-established food manufacturing client based in Scunthorpe to recruit for Zone managers, this role would be suitable to someone who has already lead a team and has a clear understanding or process and despatch. Knowledge of Continuous improvement along with qualifications in safety and leadership would be a distinct advantage.
Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate:
• Work to and maintain high safety standards.
• Ensuring training is given where appropriate and understanding is ensured.
• Monitor and report daily and weekly performances.
• Carry out Team Briefings before the start-up and at the handover.
• Have an understanding and be able to perform all tasks in your Zone with the ability to cover other Zones and shifts if need be.
• Closely monitor and facilitate the progress and sustainment of adopted CI tools, techniques and structures.
• Responsible for timely and accurate data capture.
• Performance manage your team, including quarterly performance target setting and training wherever required.
• To continuously update your knowledge of CI techniques and tools.
• Work closely with the CI Leader.
• Factory floor presence 80%.
• Develop a succession plan for your area.
• Responsible for attendance KPI, prompt return of RTW’s.
• Disciplinary and grievance management when needed.
• Work closely with the finance team to track and report any cost reduction or performance improvement.

Finance Business Partner

Salary: Circa £45k per annum
The Job
Primestaff are working with our well-established client to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a busy Manufacturing business with links to European markets.

To manage the overall Finance function at the local site, ensuring that all financial requirements – internal, external and statutory – are met.

To provide support, guidance and information on all Finance aspects to the business, ensuring maximum value is delivered at an acceptable risk level.

• Work in line with all department targets and objectives – safety, quality, hygiene, accounting regulations, financial reports
• Work with GBS to ensure the local transactions are properly prepared, authorized and recorded
• Ensure that the results are a proper reflection of the situation at the local entity, including determination of discretionary result elements (accruals, provisions,) and sign off monthly, quarterly and yearly results.
• Sign off all local reporting requirements (VAT, Intrastat, Annual Accounts, Statistical reporting’s)
• Ensure proper risk management of the local entity, including liaison with internal and external audit and other external bodies
• Lead the production of the annual and multi-year business plans and the regular updates to them (forecast, quarterly updates)
• Analyse material usage, cost statements, profit & loss statements, manufacturing statistics, labour analysis and sales analysis and translate them into actionable information for improved financial performance
• Leverage and share best practice to drive a consistent approach to applying financial policy or practices
• Prepare business cases for major capital expenditures and ensure proper follow up on costs and benefits versus the business case

• Present financial information in an understandable format to all levels of the organisation
• Oversee the Product Costing system and ensure that all product costs are accurate and reasonable
