Senior Support Worker

Salary: £18,500
Our well established client in the Clydebank area is looking to recruit a full time permanent senior support worker with a relevant professional qualification and experience of working with people with complex needs. Applicants would need to be prepared to join a rota and be available to work a variety of shift including evenings, weekends and sleepovers .The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of managing the service and providing line management supervision for a number of Support Workers.

In order to be considered for this position you must have a:

•Qualification to a minimum of SVQ Social Care level 3 or equivalent (e.g. nursing qualification)
•Experience of leading a team, including carrying out meaningful supervisions
•Intention to achieve appropriate registration with the Scottish Social Services Council
•Previous experience of working in a care/support setting that is person-centred and outcome-focused, preferably with adults with learning and/or physical disabilities or brain injury
•Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary framework, building and maintaining professional and productive relationships
•Knowledge of social care values, legislation and regulatory framework
•Effective communication skills
•Resourceful with initiative whilst also able to consult others appropriately

Service Manager

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager to support adults with learning disabilities to lead an independent a life.

Key responsibilities:

•Supporting a person with such things as looking after their home, preparing and meals, budgeting and shopping, as well as exposing them to new experiences and encouraging them to pursue a social life.

•Communicating with a person in their preferred manner and helping others to do so.

•Supporting a person to maintain and develop relationships.
