Salary: £50k per annum
The Job:
Overview of the role:
Primestaff are working with our well-established client to recruit a General manger for a new residential service provision based in York for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities; suitable to candidate with extensive experience in Health & Social Care along with a Management qualification.


The Duties:
Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate:
• Ensure good quality working relationships with employees, the people who use the service and all stakeholders external to the company.
• Promote the equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities of the people who live within the service at all times in accordance with statutory requirements and the company Policy.
• Contribute to the development of systems and processes to ensure this happens.
• To evaluate the risk of and to protect the people who use the service from, threats to their health, welfare and development both inside and outside the service, strictly following the company Code of Practice and Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures for reporting suspected abuse.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery, ensuring it is sufficiently flexible to meet the expressed needs of the people who live there. This will include participating in and undertaking regular audits and reviews of systems and practice as necessary.
• Facilitate life choices for people who live in the service, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning their lives, and supporting them and helping them towards taking greater control and responsibility through Person Centred Care Planning
• Ensure that all aspects of the service are correctly planned and managed, liaising with key stakeholders and the Business Development Team to ensure that referrals are well managed, people’s needs are appropriately assessed and identified and that people coming to live in the service have a positive experience.
