Quality Checking Operative in Scunthorpe

Salary: £8.00 per hour
The Job:
This is a super opportunity for a candidate with experience of quality control to join a well established manufacturing team in Scunthorpe. 20.00pm – 05.00am, Monday to Friday - Temporary to Permanent opportunity.

The Duties:
The purpose of the role is to ensure the standard of quality is consistently met for all products by performing random quality checks and tests as items are being made. It is the responsibility of the chosen applicant to make the shift supervisor aware of any issues swiftly to minimize loss and to accurately record the quality data on the system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To comply will all company policies and procedures and lead by example in all areas
- To perform quality checks using gauging equipment & record results accurately in a timely and efficient manner as directed by the QA Department.
- To perform manual inspections on product.
- To inform the Team Leaders of any check or test failures, providing them with samples and any related information
- To retain copies and examples of the failures for reporting into the QA Department.
- To be a good team worker who has the ability to work on their own initiative in an organised manner
- To communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner.
- To adopt a positive can do approach.
- To undertake any other necessary tasks as required by the QA department.
- To actively participate in the process of continuous improvement of the Company’s Product Safety and Quality Management System, products and processes.

Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a quality control position
- To have a good eye for detail in order to be able to undertake visual quality inspections of the products.
- Good numerical and literacy skills in order to be able to complete relevant QC documentation
- Basic IT skills in order to be able to enter data on QC systems.
- To be able to work on own initiative and be confident enough to raise any quality issues with the appropriate Team Leader or person in charge.
- Good team working skills
