Transport & Warehouse Coordinator in Leeds

Salary: £20,000 per annum
The Job:
Prime Staff have an excellent opportunity within one of our well established clients based in Leeds. They are currently recruiting for a Transport and Warehouse Co-ordinator to join their busy team.

The Duties:
- Manage and co-ordinate deliveries, checking all loads, to ensure correct goods are despatched accurately, on time and on the correct routes.
- Manage goods-in procedures including booking-in supplier deliveries.
- Maximise efficiency by managing times and deadlines, using reports and if possible, pulling jobs forward to group deliveries.
- Ensure vehicles and FLT’s are serviced and maintained as per company schedule.
- Responsible for daily vehicle and FLT checks, reporting faults and breakdowns.
- Manage the warehouse systems and ensure accurate stock control.
- Communicate harmoniously with the Production Supervisor to ensure goods are ready on time for despatch.
- Manage the stock to ensure safe and accurate storage of boxes, minimising stock discrepancies.
- Perform accurate Stock Take every month.
- Effectively manage of stock location and PIN management.
- Book in deliveries 24 hours in advance.
- Effectively communicate stock and delivery problems with sales personnel.
- Manage and organise all administration and paperwork procedures, including signing off all loads before despatch.

Require experience and technical skills:

- FLT licence is essential
- Previous experience and a proven record in a similar role.
- Good communicator both written and oral.
- Proven ability in managing tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to organise.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good IT skills.
- Sound commercial awareness is desirable.
- Excellent eye for detail.
- Must be upbeat, friendly and professional.

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday starting at 09:00 until 18:00.
