Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias in Scunthorpe

Salary: £30,000 - 33,000 per annum
The Job:
Primestaff are working with our well established client to recruit for an experience Electrically Biased Mutilskilled Maintenance Engineer. Must be able to work alone and have experience of Fault finding within a manufacturing environment.

The Duties:
- Work on process operations to repair breakdown of electrical and mechanical areas as safely and quickly as possible.
- Work with Quality Technicians to ensure repairs leave machine capable of processing product i.e. able to produce product within specification. Issue process disturbance warnings where applicable.
- Carry our ancillary activities to build/repair machinery/facilities ie. welding, cutting, grinding, wiring.
- Carry out preventative maintenance as directed.
- Carry out checks/service equipment/ facilities to meet legislative requirements as directed.
- Work with Production Operators to improve process.
- Keep accurate records.
- Promote safe behaviour and safe systems of work.

Skills and Experience required

- To be considered for the role you will need experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer with Excellent Fault finding Skills (please only apply if you have experience) .This role involves being the only engineer on a shift.
- You will have at least 5 years engineering experience in dealing with rectifying breakdown, ensuring minimal downtime, working with a team to prevent re-occurrence.
- We are seeking an electrically biased engineer with good mechanical skills.
- You must hold an electrical qualification/s (HND/HNC or equivalent) and ideally have completed an electrical apprenticeship. 17th Edition qualified would be advantageous.
