Finance Business Partner

Salary: Circa £45k per annum
Primestaff are working with our well-established client to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a busy Manufacturing business with links to European markets.

To manage the overall Finance function at the local site, ensuring that all financial requirements – internal, external and statutory – are met.

To provide support, guidance and information on all Finance aspects to the business, ensuring maximum value is delivered at an acceptable risk level.

• Work in line with all department targets and objectives – safety, quality, hygiene, accounting regulations, financial reports
• Work with GBS to ensure the local transactions are properly prepared, authorized and recorded
• Ensure that the results are a proper reflection of the situation at the local entity, including determination of discretionary result elements (accruals, provisions,) and sign off monthly, quarterly and yearly results.
• Sign off all local reporting requirements (VAT, Intrastat, Annual Accounts, Statistical reporting’s)
• Ensure proper risk management of the local entity, including liaison with internal and external audit and other external bodies
• Lead the production of the annual and multi-year business plans and the regular updates to them (forecast, quarterly updates)
• Analyse material usage, cost statements, profit & loss statements, manufacturing statistics, labour analysis and sales analysis and translate them into actionable information for improved financial performance
• Leverage and share best practice to drive a consistent approach to applying financial policy or practices
• Prepare business cases for major capital expenditures and ensure proper follow up on costs and benefits versus the business case
• Prepare business cases and analyses for projects and ensure proper follow up on costs and benefits versus the business case
• Present financial information in an understandable format to all levels of the organisation
• Oversee the Product Costing system and ensure that all product costs are accurate and reasonable
• Liaise with Corporate headquarters on financial reporting
• Liaise with IT on major projects and capital expenditure
• Be an active member of the Management Team and play a part in developing the overall strategy for the business
