  • Senior Support Worker

    Salary: £18,500
    The Job
    Our well established client in the Clydebank area is looking to recruit a full time permanent senior support worker with a relevant professional qualification and experience of working with people with complex needs. Applicants would need to be prepared to join a rota and be available to work a variety of shift including evenings, weekends and sleepovers .The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of managing the service and providing line management supervision for a number of Support Workers.

    In order to be considered for this position you must have a:

    •Qualification to a minimum of SVQ Social Care level 3 or equivalent (e.g. nursing qualification)
    •Experience of leading a team, including carrying out meaningful supervisions
    •Intention to achieve appropriate registration with the Scottish Social Services Council
    •Previous experience of working in a care/support setting that is person-centred and outcome-focused, preferably with adults with learning and/or physical disabilities or brain injury
    •Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary framework, building and maintaining professional and productive relationships
    •Knowledge of social care values, legislation and regulatory framework
    •Effective communication skills
    •Resourceful with initiative whilst also able to consult others appropriately

    Salary: £19,717.00/annum

    Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager to support adults with learning disabilities to lead an independent a life.

    Key responsibilities:

    •Supporting a person with such things as looking after their home, preparing and meals, budgeting and shopping, as well as exposing them to new experiences and encouraging them to pursue a social life.

    •Communicating with a person in their preferred manner and helping others to do so.

    •Supporting a person to maintain and develop relationships.

    •Providing support with personal appearance, hygiene or personal care if necessary.

    •Provide regular and planned supervision to designated team members.

    •Provide day to day and long-term planning and management of the service.

    •Liaising with other professionals such as health care or social workers as appropriate.

    The Job
    Our client based in Govan is looking to recruit an experienced Depute Service Manager for a 31hrs per week to support adults with learning disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    •Supporting service users with looking after their home, preparing meals, budgeting and shopping, as well as exposing them to new experiences and assisting them to pursue the social life.

    •Finding out what is available in the community, and supporting a person to make full use of local mainstream facilities, amenities and services.

    •Communicating with a person in their preferred manner and helping others to do so.

    •Supporting a person to maintain the relationships they have with those who are important to them and helping them to develop new friendships.

    •Occasionally accompanying a person on a short break or holiday if necessary.

    •Providing support and encouragement with personal appearance, hygiene or intimate personal care if necessary.

    •Provide regular and planned supervision to designated team members.

    •Assist service manager in the day to day and long-term planning and management of the service.
